Whizz Education Maths is an online learning platform for pupils that is tailored to their individual needs and has been proven to accelerate progress in learning.
All pupils who have returned to school, will complete a baseline assessment prior to the end of term which will enable the system to create their personal learning programme. They will also have the opportunity to access the first learning session before the end of term to ensure that their teachers can help them to navigate the system.
Pupils who have not been able to come into school, will be sent their logins and will be able to complete the baseline assessment at home. It is really important that they do this without any support to allow the system to calculate their strengths and development areas accurately and provide an appropriate programme of study.
All pupils have access to the programme for the summer holidays and can work through the sessions at their own pace. If your child is finding a topic difficult, the programme will adapt to give them some more support. Likewise, you should find that the programme will accelerate if your child is finding the topic too easy. Whizz Education recommends 60 minutes of use per week to maximise progress, but as with the booklets, we leave this completely to your discretion. To access, you will need to go to: www.whizz.com. You will also find some useful videos for parents at https://www.whizz.com/maths-resources/webinars/.
