The Government published their Guidance for full opening: schools on 2nd July (above). Since then, we have been considering all aspects of opening for September and put together a comprehensive COVID-19 Staff Handbook (above). This is still very much in draft, as we are expecting further guidance to be issued on 11th August.
I have tried to summarise the key points that families need to know as Frequently Asked Questions (above), but do feel free to read our full handbook. We will also publish our full risk assessment when this is approved by the Active Learning Trust Board later this month.
Towards the end of August, I will send you updated information and will be asking you to read everything again so that you are reminded of the part you need to play in supporting us to open the school safely.
If, after you have read everything, you have any further questions, please ask them using this form and I will endeavour to answer them within our updated FAQs before we start back in September.
I must stress that ALL children are expected to return to school in September. The only exceptions to this are if:
All absences must be reported in accordance with our Attendance Policy.
My thanks again for your support over the last term, do watch the video messages from Sidegate’s Prime Minister and me that can be found on the Video Resource page of this website.
